Steve Knight is a soulful singer-songwriter blending Americana, roots, and modern soul. Originally from Huntsville, Alabama, his sound reflects deep Southern musical roots shaped by gospel, storytelling, and years immersed in the Bay Area music scene. Before his recording career, Steve also served in the U.S. Coast Guard, bringing depth and perspective that continues to influence his songwriting.

Steve first gained international recognition as a founding member of Flipsyde, whose debut album We The People was released on Cherrytree/Interscope Records. Their breakout single “Someday” was featured in NBC’s Winter Olympics coverage and helped launch worldwide touring alongside major acts including Snoop Dogg, Akon, and the Black Eyed Peas.

Now performing as a solo artist, Steve creates deeply personal and expressive music, including his recent release “Man Made Lights.” His live performances are intimate, authentic, and emotionally resonant, combining powerful vocals, thoughtful songwriting, and a warm, engaging stage presence.
