Chris Bank and Josefina Mendez bring together world-class musicianship, international influences, and decades of performance experience for an evening of jazz, Latin rhythms, and timeless favorites.

Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Josefina Mendez is a celebrated jazz vocalist known for her warm, expressive voice and multilingual repertoire. Performing in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, she draws from swing, bossa nova, samba, tangos, boleros, and Latin jazz traditions to create performances that are both elegant and inviting. Josefina’s musical journey includes operatic voice training, advanced jazz studies, and performances with renowned ensembles in Argentina and the United States.

Chris Bank is a longtime Aspen-area musician, vocalist, bassist, saxophonist, and guitarist whose career has spanned performances at premier venues including The Little Nell, St. Regis, and Syzygy. He has shared the stage with artists such as Kenny Loggins, The Temptations, John Denver, Bo Diddley, Jimmy Buffett, Francine Reed, Ernie Watts, and Nelson Rangell. In addition to performing, Chris is a dedicated music educator and serves as Director of School Programs for Jazz Aspen Snowmass.

Together, Chris and Josefina deliver an engaging blend of jazz standards, bossa nova, samba, Latin favorites, and classic songs, combining sophisticated musicianship with a warm, approachable style that audiences throughout the Roaring Fork Valley have come to love.
